Our Philosophy

Tripadvisor Group champions the unique identities, abilities, and experiences of all our people – employees, customers, and partners – because inclusion fuels our core. This stems from our belief in the transformative power of travel, dining, and experiences to connect us and open doors to worlds very different from our own.

Our Strategy

Our equity, diversity, and inclusion strategy shapes how we approach our people, culture, business, and reputation.  Tripadvisor Group strives to embed inclusion and belonging across all our brands: Tripadvisor, Viator, and TheFork.

This work is supported by stakeholders from across the business dedicated to helping tackle our strategic initiatives from all angles. Representing a variety of regions and teams, they bring with them important insights and counsel on industry, cultural, and regional trends - ensuring our ED+I practice is globally relevant and impactful.

Employee Resource Groups

We empower every employee to bring their full perspective and experience to the table—this is what drives us to be our best.

Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are open to all employees, no matter their identity.

Each offers dedicated platforms for employees to connect and support each other through shared experiences, identities, abilities, and interests.  Our ERGs actively champion the ED+I strategy by influencing company culture, fostering learning, and building allyship. The valuable insights of ERG members directly inform our products, content, market strategies, and employee experience.

Our ERGs include:

Supporting the Asian experience

Supporting the Black/African Diaspora experience

Empowered Minds and Abilities@

Supporting accessibility, disability & mental health experiences

Parents and Caregivers@

Supporting caregiving experiences

Pride@

Supporting the LGBTQIA+ experience

Unidos@

Supporting the Hispanic/Latino/Latina/Latine/Latinx experience

Supporting the experience of women

Our commitment to this work is reflected in the words of our employees:

“I am proud to be a part of an organization that strives hard to be inclusive and values equity and diversity. The work culture provides a safe environment where we are not afraid of being unfairly judged or discriminated against. I love Tripadvisor!”

“Being a Co-Lead and a part of Black@ has been an amazing experience. Employee Resources Groups have allowed me to feel a part of a community, to have a safe space to become even more engaged and a part of Tripadvisor and Cruise Critic. It's an amazing feeling to be able to connect, contribute, collaborate, and celebrate our differences, our strengths, and our stories. Seeing our efforts as co-leads in partnership with ED+I shape, develop and grow Tripadvisor Group’s core cultures has been an amazing feeling. The growth I've been able to achieve is a gift I will forever be grateful for. I'm proud to work for a company that wants us all to bring our full self to work and truly embraces the motto ‘Better Together.’”

“Employee Resource Groups foster communities and safe spaces around affinity and identity groups that are hard to come by in a corporate setting. For me, it has meant getting to know and collaborate with a diverse group of passionate, caring, and fun people across many teams. Seeing our efforts help shape our emerging ED+I culture, as well as influence our traveler facing product, has been incredibly fulfilling.”

Esteban Roncancio
Senior Software Engineer, Tripadvisor B2B Engineering

“One of the most rewarding moments of my time at Tripadvisor was seeing, in a recent survey, an overwhelming percentage of our Tripadvisor family indicate they feel they can be their authentic selves at work. Equally rewarding, is seeing, experiencing, and sharing that authenticity first-hand on calls, meetings, and during social events.

“When inclusion and diversity are a priority in your workplace, ERGs positively become the best way to keep employees connected through a common cause or interest. Getting involved in these groups has made my job more enjoyable and it has also given me a purpose since I feel that I am making an impact and doing something meaningful. ERGs build high-trust relationships and foster a sense of belonging. I am very happy to be part of the ED+I community.”
